We've added two new widgets to your Advocacy Analytics dashboard to help you better understand how your Haiilo content is performing on LinkedIn: Impressions and Impression-based Estimated Earned Media Value (EEMV).
Bonus: Our system will automatically collect impression data from the past three years, making it easier for you to track your success over time.
Impressions are only counted for shares on LinkedIn, not on any other social media platform.
Widget: Impressions
What is it?
Impressions represent the total number of times your content has been displayed on a screen. In Haiilo's case, it refers to shared posts appearing on a LinkedIn feed.
How is it calculated?
Total Views: If the same person sees your post twice, it counts as 2 impressions.
Visibility Standard: According to LinkedIn standards, a post is counted as an "impression" when it is at least 50% visible on a user's screen for at least 300 milliseconds.
Video & Documents: This metric counts the visibility of the video thumbnail or the document cover page in the feed. It does not necessarily mean the user clicked play or swiped through the document.
Impressions differ from Reach. Reach counts a user's connections on LinkedIn, meaning the people who might see the post on their feed, while Impressions count the total number of views of the post.
Widget: LinkedIn Impressions EEMV
What is it?
Estimated Earned Media Value (EEMV) puts a price tag on your shares from Haiilo to LinkedIn. It aims to provide an estimate for the question: "If I had to pay for these views using ads, how much would it have cost?"
How is it calculated?
Impressions EEMV is calculated using a CPM (Cost Per Mille) model. "Mille" stands for 1,000, so CPM represents the cost for every 1,000 impressions.
Haiilo uses a fixed industry standard value for our CPM: $28 (Haiilo values every 1,000 impressions at $28). At the moment, you cannot define a custom CPM.

Impressions EEMV differs from Clicks EEMV, which is calculated by multiplying CPC (cost-per-click) with the total number of clicks your posts have generated on social media during the selected time period. Learn more in Metrics definitions for Workforce Insights Analytics.
