LinkedIn Company posts and LinkedIn content imports both help you use content from your LinkedIn company page in Haiilo, but they work differently:
- LinkedIn Company posts bring the original LinkedIn post into Haiilo so employees can like, comment on, or repost that exact post.
- LinkedIn content imports use links from your LinkedIn posts to create new Haiilo Link posts that employees can share with their own messaging.

When should I use LinkedIn Company posts?
Use LinkedIn Company posts when you want employees to engage directly with a post that has already been published on your LinkedIn company page.
The original post is displayed in Haiilo, where employees can:
- Like the post
- Comment on the post
- Repost the post
These interactions are sent to LinkedIn. When employees share the post, it appears as a repost of the original company post on LinkedIn.
This option is best when your goal is to increase engagement with a specific company post while preserving its original content and context.
When should I use LinkedIn content imports?
Use LinkedIn content imports when you want to turn existing content from your LinkedIn page into a new Haiilo post that employees can share.
Haiilo doesn't import the LinkedIn post itself. Instead, Haiilo imports the link in the post and uses the linked webpage to create a new Link post. The image, title, and body are taken from that webpage, not from the LinkedIn post. You can also edit the title, text, and image before publishing on Haiilo, allowing you to adjust its appearance to stand out even more from the original LinkedIn post.
After the content is imported, you can configure the Haiilo post and add sharing messages for employees. When employees share it, the result appears as new content rather than a reshare of the original LinkedIn company post.
This option is best when you want to:
- Create advocacy content using existing marketing content
- Add sharing messages that approach the same topic from different angles
- Give employees ready-to-share content based on a webpage or article
- Promote the linked content without resharing the original company post
LinkedIn posts without links, such as image-only or video-only posts, cannot be imported using LinkedIn content imports.
Can I use both?
Yes. The two options can complement each other.
For example, if your company publishes a LinkedIn post linking to a new article, you can:
- Add it to Haiilo as a LinkedIn Company post so employees can like, comment on, or repost the original post.
- Use LinkedIn content imports to create a separate Haiilo Link post based on the article, and add different visuals, text, or sharing messages so employees can promote the article as new content from their own perspective.
This allows you to support engagement with the original company post while also creating additional advocacy content around the same marketing asset.
