Creating LinkedIn company posts new

You can create a LinkedIn company post to import an existing post from a LinkedIn company page into Haiilo. When users share the post, they create a repost of the company page's post on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn company posts can be created only in the browser version of Haiilo. Users can still approve and interact with these posts in the Haiilo Amplify mobile app.

Already using LinkedIn content import and wondering how this feature differs? Check out this article: What's the difference between LinkedIn Company posts and LinkedIn content import?

LinkedIn Company Post Essentials

  • Post selection: You can import link, image, video, and document posts from any LinkedIn company page. You only need the name of the LinkedIn company page.
  • Appearance: LinkedIn company posts look as follows:
    • On Haiilo: The post appears on the Haiilo feed with a blue border showing it originates from a LinkedIn company page. An information banner identifies the LinkedIn page and informs users that interactions are sent to LinkedIn. Users can also open the original LinkedIn post from the post preview.
    • On LinkedIn: When users share the post, it is published as a repost of the original LinkedIn company post rather than as a new post.
  • Engagement:
    • Users can like, comment on, and share LinkedIn company posts directly from Haiilo. Likes and comments are sent to the original LinkedIn post using the user's connected LinkedIn account. If the user hasn't connected their LinkedIn account to Haiilo, they cannot like, comment, or share the post.
    • Comments made through Haiilo cannot be replies to other comments and cannot include LinkedIn user or company mentions.
  • Engagement data:
    • Haiilo displays the number of likes and comments on LinkedIn company posts and updates these counts once per hour.
    • Like and comment counts are only available when the post on Haiilo is created by a user who is also an admin of the LinkedIn company page. This admin relationship is required to fetch engagement data.
    • Only likes are included in the engagement data. Other LinkedIn reaction types are not retrieved from LinkedIn.
    • Haiilo does not retrieve the content of comments from LinkedIn, only the number of comments.
  • Gamification: Admins can award points for liking and commenting on LinkedIn company posts in the Employee Advocacy settings. Learn more in Employee Advocacy settings.

Step 1: Select a post from a LinkedIn page

  1. Select Company at the top of the feed.
  2. Type the name of a LinkedIn company page from which you want to import a post. You can search for any page on LinkedIn; you do not need to be an admin of the page.
  3. Select the page from the list. Posts from the page will be fetched and displayed.
  4. Select a post to import. When you select a post, you can view its full details.
    • If you'd like to change to a different post, select X to return to the list.
  5. Select Continue.

Step 2: Configure

  1. Select the channels where you want your post to appear. You must add at least one channel, but you can add multiple channels.
  2. Set the post's language. The language is automatically set based on the content of the post, but we recommend verifying that the language is correct.
  3. Add a campaign for your post. This option is only available for admins.
  4. Commenting is enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
  5. Optionally, enable additional options, such as read confirmation, featured posts, or notify users immediately. These options are only available for admins.
  6. Write recommended sharing messages for LinkedIn. You can write multiple messages by selecting the + icon or, if activated for your platform, use AI to generate sharing messages.
  7. Define the points that users earn for sharing the post. This option is only available for admins.
  8. Select Continue.

Step 3: Confirm

  1. In the last step, you can write comments or an explanation for your post. These comments will be displayed above the post when it's published and will only be visible internally within the platform, not when shared on social media. We suggest using this field to inform your users why they should share the post on their social networks.
  2. If you want to delay the post's publication, select Schedule post and define a date and time for it to be published. This option is only available for admins. Scheduled posts show on the Scheduled feed until they are published.
  3. Once you are happy with your post, select Publish to submit the post. Unless you schedule it, your post will be published immediately.
    • If you are a user, your post will need to be approved by an admin before it is published.
