Toolkit for re-educating your users

We all need reminding of things every now and then, and advocacy is no exception! Whether users missed onboarding, haven't connected their social media, or have simply forgotten how to share from Haiilo, a re-education series is a great way to get back on track.

This toolkit will give you the resources to host and post your own re-education campaign directly through the Haiilo Advocacy platform.

Before the campaign

A successful campaign starts with a plan. Before you post your first message, follow these three simple steps.

  • Set Your Goal. Decide on one key thing you want to improve. Do you want more users to connect their social media profiles? Do you want to increase the number of shares? Pinpointing a specific goal will help you measure success.
  • Analyze the Gaps. Use your platform analytics to see who needs help and what they need to learn. This shows you exactly where to focus.
  • Choose Your Channel: Select an existing onboarding or Haiilo-specific channel on your platform or create a new one. We recommend "Haiilo Tips" or "Haiilo Onboarding." Set it as the default for all users, or manually subscribe your newest users, to ensure they receive the posts.
  • Create a Campaign Tag: Create a campaign tag in Haiilo to label your posts. This will enable you to analyze the overall engagement for all the posts in the series.
  • Announce the Series. Send a brief internal post to your users ahead of time to let them know the series is coming. This helps build anticipation and gets them ready to participate.

During the campaign

This is a five-week content plan you can use directly in your platform. Use internal article posts to make sure everyone sees the content without being able to share it. You can also use platform notifications and email digests to alert them to new posts.

You can use the same image for each post in your series to help users recognize it. A sample image can be found at the bottom of this article for you to download and use.

Week 1: The Introduction

This week is all about introducing the series and explaining what Haiilo does.

  • Your post title: Welcome to the Re-education Series!
  • Your post message:

Welcome to Haiilo [or your advocacy program name]!

💡 Did you know 86% of employees in firms with a formal employee advocacy program say that their involvement on social media for professional purposes has helped their career?

Haiilo is a way for you to authentically personalize and share content to your social media profiles with the click of a button - quickly and effortlessly.

To help you get the most out of Haiilo, we are launching a re-education series. We will post a short piece of content each week to help you upskill yourselves, so keep your notifications on and your Haiilo tab open! Get started today by customizing your feed.

Week 2: The Value of Sharing

This week reintroduces the value of social media sharing.

  • Your post title: Why Is Social Sharing So Important?
  • Your post message:

You might be thinking, why invest my time in social media? Well, the answer is clear: you can easily grow your personal brand to position yourself as an industry expert, with only 5 minutes (or less!) per week.

  • Your comment: "Wondering what's in it for you? This week we're talking about the huge value of social sharing and how it can help you build your own brand. Check it out!"

Week 3: Connecting Your Accounts

This week shows people how to connect their social media accounts.

  • Your post title: Connect Your Profiles in 60 Seconds!
  • Your post message:

The first step to getting the most out of Haiilo is to connect your social media profiles. Once your 'SoMe' (social media) is connected, you can begin sharing content right away. Good news, this only takes a minute.

💡 Haiilo will not be able to look into your social profiles. The connection simply allows you to share from Haiilo to your social media, and for Haiilo to gather basic data on how people interact with your Haiilo posts - and that's all! You can find more information on this here.

📺 Check out this 1-minute video to get connected today!

  • Your comment: "Ready to get connected? This week we're sharing a super quick guide on how to link your social media profiles. It only takes a minute, I promise!"

Week 4: The Basics of Sharing

This week shows people the basics of sharing content from Haiilo.

  • Your post title: Ready, Set, Share!
  • Your post message:

Now your social media profiles are connected (check out last week's post [link] if you're not there yet!), you can start sharing

Sharing a social media post from Haiilo takes a couple of seconds. Put a recurring slot in your calendar every week to remind yourself to jump in and share while you're sipping your morning coffee ☕

  • Your comment: "Now for the fun part! This week we're showing you just how easy it is to share content from Haiilo. Put that recurring calendar reminder to work!"

Week 5a: Accessing Your Dashboard

This week shows people how to access their personal dashboard and analytics.

  • Your post title: Your Personal Dashboard Revealed
  • Your post message:

You've customized your feed, connected your social profiles, and started sharing—now what? 🤔

Haiilo gives each person a view into their growth over time via their personal dashboard. Access your own analytics and see how your shares have been performing over time. And don't worry—this dashboard is private to you!

📺 Check out this 1-minute video to get better acquainted with your personal dashboard.

  • Your comment: "Did you know you have your own personal dashboard? This week we're showing you how to check it out and see how your posts are performing. Happy sharing!"

Week 5b: The Wrap-Up

This post just wraps it all up.

  • Your post title: That's a Wrap! What's Next?
  • Your post message:

And that's it! I hope you've enjoyed this quick series on kickstarting (or restarting) your Haiilo sharing journey.

We'd love to do more series like this in the future—let me know what resources would be useful for you and your peers next time in the comments below👇

I'm looking forward to seeing your social profiles grow, to seeing you become a big voice in our industry, and, most importantly, to seeing you get the most value out of Haiilo!

Until next time 👋

  • Your comment: "Thanks so much for joining our series. Looking forward to seeing your social profiles grow. 👋"

After the campaign

The series might be over, but your work isn't! A good campaign has a clear end and a plan for what comes next.

  • Review Your Goals. Go back to your goals from the beginning. Did more people connect their accounts? Did sharing increase?
  • Celebrate the Wins. Highlight and celebrate users who showed great progress. This reinforces the value of the re-education series.
  • Plan the Next One. Use the feedback you get to start planning your next campaign. What topics should you cover next time? This shows your users that their feedback matters.
