Creating posts on behalf of another user

To post on behalf of another user, you must first establish a content collaboration with that user. Learn more in Creating content collaborations. After your collaboration is established, you can create a post on behalf of another user.

Create a post on behalf

  1. Select post type, e.g., Link
  2. Select Post as content writer
  3. Select a content owner from the list
  4. Continue creating the post as usual. There are some important points to keep in mind:
    • Select channels and settings: When a Content Writer creates content as the Content Owner, the Content Owner's channel and language settings are used.
    • Publish the post: The Content Writer's publishing permissions are used. For example, if the Content Writer is a Company Admin and the Content Owner is a regular user, the post will be published immediately without requiring approval, as the Content Writer has full publishing permissions. If the Content Writer is a regular user, the post will go through the normal approval process and needs to be approved by an admin before it's published.

After a post is created, the Content Owner can see the post on their My Posts page. The Content Writer can see all posts they've created on behalf of a Content Owner on a Post on behalf feed.

Edit or delete a post on behalf

The Content Owner or Content Writer can edit a proposed post before it's approved and published or scheduled to be published in any channel. Additionally, the Content Owner or Content Writer can delete a scheduled, proposed, or published post on behalf from their respective feeds.

Notifications for post on behalf

The following notifications are sent for a post created on behalf:

  • If a post gets feedback, only the Content Writer receives a notification.
  • If an admin approves a post on behalf, both the Content Writer and Content Owner receive a notification that the post is published.
  • If an admin rejects a post, only the Content Writer receives a notification.
