Activation prompts for users that haven't shared

Encouraging users to actively participate is crucial for maximizing the impact of any Employee Advocacy platform. The activation prompt is a call to action for users to quickly and easily share popular posts at your company, turning them from spectators into active participants. The prompt is displayed for any user who hasn't shared anything in the past 30 days, including new users.

The activation prompt is available on both the browser version and the Haiilo Share mobile app.

You aren't required to share any posts from the prompt; it is optional. You can close the prompt and continue using the platform as usual. However, you will see the prompt once every day until you share at least one post. After sharing a post, the prompt will not show for at least 30 days. Currently, you cannot turn off the prompt altogether.

How it works

If you haven't shared anything from the platform to a social network in the past 30 days, you receive an activation prompt when you access the platform. The prompt informs you about your inactivity or, if you're a new user, invites you to start sharing. Additionally, the prompt displays three popular posts on your platform from the past week as suggestions for you to share.

The three posts displayed in the prompt are chosen based on an algorithm that selects posts created in the past week and that have received the highest number of shares within that same timeframe. This ensures that the most popular and recent content is featured. However, if no such posts are found, this logic is applied:

  • If no posts have been created in the past week, posts from the past two weeks are considered. If still none are found, posts from the past three weeks are considered, and so on
  • If posts have been created in the timeframe (past week, ...) but they have received 0 shares, they will still be included in the prompt
  • If no posts have been created on your platform, the prompt won't display

All posts from every channel on your platform are considered, not just the ones you subscribe to. However, posts from private channels will not be shown. Also, posts that are not in your selected content language(s) will be excluded from your prompt.
