iFrame widgets

You can create iframe widgets to integrate into external sites, such as your company intranet or website, to display Haiilo content. An iframe widget can be created by Company Admins.

Using widgets requires the Content Booster paid add-on. If you want to acquire the add-on, please contact your Haiilo Account Manager for assistance.

Create an iFrame

  1. Go to Administration > Settings > Widgets.
  2. Choose the channel(s) from which you would like posts to be displayed in the widget. You can select one or multiple.
  3. Edit the title displayed with your widget, or choose none. Preview the widget on the right to see how it will appear once embedded.
  4. Optionally, change the widget's dimensions. They are automatically set to 300x500, but you can edit them according to your preferences.
  5. Once you're finished, copy the code snippet and embed your iframe widget in the desired location. If you need help with embedding into your company's tools, please contact your IT department.

An embedded iFrame displays external content; however, if a user is logged into your Haiilo Advocacy platform in the same browser session where the widget is located, they will also see internal content. For example, if the widget is placed on your intranet, users who are logged into Haiilo Advocacy in the same browser session will be able to view both external and internal content in the widget.

If the channel selected for your widget contains only internal content, it will appear blank for users who are not logged into your Haiilo Advocacy platform.

Example: Embed an iFrame widget on Haiilo Intranet

  1. Set up the widget on Haiilo Advocacy following the steps above.
  2. Copy only the URL from the code snippet.
  3. Set up the iFrame widget on the Haiilo Intranet as described in this article.
