Export content with a feed

With a feed from Haiilo, you can export shareable (public) content into, for example, Facebook Workplace or Viva Engage. You can specify which channel(s) the content is exported from.

Getting access to a feed and learning how to build it requires the Content Booster paid add-on. If you want to acquire the add-on, please contact your Account Manager from Haiilo for assistance.

There are three options when building a feed. Each option displays Haiilo's posts differently:

  • Feed option 1:
    • can only fetch Link type posts.
    • links to the original source URL used in the link post. If you create a Link post with the URL https://www.haiilo.com, when a user clicks on the post on the feed, they will be directed to the website linked in the post rather than to Haiilo.
  • Feed option 2:
    • can fetch Link, Article, Image, and Video posts but doesn't display the posts' images.
    • links to the post preview on Haiilo. Meaning a user that clicks on the post on the feed is taken to Haiilo.
  • Feed option 3:
    • can fetch Link, Article, Image, and Video posts and does display the posts' images.
    • links to the post preview on Haiilo. Meaning a user that clicks on the post on the feed is taken to Haiilo.

All feed options allow you to select one or multiple channels to export content from.

When you are done building the feed, simply copy and embed it into your preferred platform. Reach out to your company's IT department regarding how to best embed the widget into your intranet or website.

Example: add a Haiilo feed on Viva Engage

Connecting Haiilo with Viva Engage requires the use of Microsoft Power Automate. The message poster on Viva Engage will be the user who set up the Flow in Power Automate.

  1. Create a new flow in Microsoft Power Automate
  2. Select RSS feed and "When a feed item is published" as the trigger
    • Input the copied feed from Haiilo in the RSS field
  3. Select Viva Engage and "Post message" as the action
    • Set your Network ID first. Once a Network ID has been selected, you can select which group or community to share the message with.

    • The Message Text field can be customized to your liking with static text and dynamic content. We advise at least including the dynamic content item "Primary feed" to ensure the post links back to Haiilo. Other useful options include "Feed title" (post title) and "Feed summary" (post body).

  4. Once you click "Save", your flow is automatically ready to run when you publish new Haiilo posts in the feed's selected channel(s).
