Creating Shortcuts

Shortcuts allow you to pin your company's preferred tools, websites, applications, and other resources for easy access. These shortcuts will be displayed at the top of the homepage in the Haiilo Share mobile app and can be found under the channel list in the Haiilo desktop platform. This ensures that your employees can quickly find and access these essential assets.

Create a shortcut

A Company or Group Admin can create shortcuts.

  1. Go to Administration > Settings > Home Screen.
  2. Select Add Shortcut.
  3. Give your shortcut a name.
  4. Enter a link for your shortcut. You can use any https:// or mailto: link. When users select the shortcut on your platform, they will be taken to this link.
  5. Define who can see your shortcut. Group Admins cannot select anything in this field, as they can only create shortcuts for their own group. In contrast, Company Admins can choose between:
    • For everyone: The shortcut is visible to all users on the platform.
    • For a group: The shortcut is visible to only the users in the selected group.
  6. Select the platforms on which your shortcut is visible. Group Admins cannot select anything in this field, but Company Admins can choose between:
    • Web and mobile: The shortcut is visible both on the web platform and in the Haiilo Share mobile app.
    • Only web: The shortcut is only visible on the web platform.
    • Only mobile: The shortcut is only visible in the Haiilo Share mobile app.
  7. Customize the shortcut's appearance.
    • Color: Select a color or enter a HEX color code.
    • Icon: Choose an icon. You can search for icons by keywords. 
  8. Once you have filled in all the fields and chosen your color and icon, a preview displays how your shortcut will appear after creation. When you are ready to create your shortcut, select Add shortcut.

You can see the first four shortcuts in the Shortcuts box on the post feed. To access additional shortcuts, users can select Show all shortcuts.

A shortcut visible to everyone can only be managed by a Company Admin. Group Admins cannot edit company-wide shortcuts, even though they can see them in their group's Home Screen settings. In contrast, a shortcut visible to a specific group can be managed by either a Group Admin or a Company Admin.

Order shortcuts

Shortcuts are organized at a group level, allowing admins to customize their order specific to each group. This enables them to prioritize tools and resources that are most relevant to their users.

  1. Go to Administration > Settings > select a group > Home Screen.
  2. Drag and drop the shortcuts in the order you want them to appear. Only the first four are shown on the post feed.
  3. Repeat for every group you can manage.
