Haiilo's Posts & Users analytics shows detailed and individual information on posts in your Haiilo domain and the activities of your users. From the Posts & Users analytics, you can, for example, see if there are specific posts that have been shared more than others from your Haiilo platform or which user has received the most clicks on their external shares.
The Posts & Users Analytics feature allows you to view data for up to one year at a time. The timeframe cannot exceed one year and you will see an error if you attempt to view data for a longer time period than one year.
There is a difference between how Workforce Insights and Posts & Users Analytics calculate data. Workforce Insights shows you data on posts published in the selected timeframe, whereas Posts & Users analytics shows you data on posts that received any engagement in the selected timeframe. This means that Posts & Users also includes posts that received clicks or reads, etc., in the timeframe, even if those posts were published outside of the timeframe.
Metric definitions
The metrics that Haiilo measures and shows in the Posts & Users analytics are:
-
Reads: Reads will show the number of times a post has been read inside Haiilo. A read is counted when someone clicks to open a post on their Haiilo feed. A user can read one post multiple times and all will be counted as a new read.
-
Shares: Shares mean the number of times a post has been shared from Haiilo to a social media network. A user can share the same post to multiple networks/same network and this will be counted as a new share. Shares are counted based on when a share has been created. Shares created inside the timeframe but scheduled to be shared outside the timeframe are counted in the timeframe of creation and not in the timeframe for when the share is actually completed. Meaning if a share is scheduled on 30.4 to be shared on 15.5, the share is counted in the timeframe that includes 30.4 and not in a timeframe that includes 15.5.
-
Clicks: Clicks shows the number of clicks on a shared post from Haiilo on social media. Only unique clicks are counted, meaning if the same person clicks a post 5 times it will only count as 1 click.
-
Reach: Reach is the sum of all the connections on social media that were potentially served with a post shared from Haiilo. This is derived from a user's connections on social media.
-
Reactions: Reactions is the sum of all likes and comments that a shared post has received on social media.
Posts section
The Posts section in the Analytics helps you discover how well different pieces of content are being read by your Haiilo users or how the content works for your users' networks. The Posts section of the Posts & Users analytics will present you with all the transactions associated with content during a certain time frame. In the basic view, you can see:
- Titles of posts in your Haiilo domain/group/channel
- Dates on which the posts were created on Haiilo
- Performance metrics per post (shares, clicks, reactions and reach)
On the Overview view under Posts, you can sort the posts by clicking the headers of different metrics to get them in the order you want. In the screenshot below, we have sorted the posts based on Shares within the selected time frame to see the posts that have shared the most by our Haiilo users.
In addition, you are able to see more detailed information for your posts on Shares & Clicks and Social Reactions by changing the view.
The Shares & Clicks tab will illustrate which portion of the shares and clicks are generated from individual networks. You can use this feature to see which posts are attracting most clicks from X, for example. In the screenshot below, we have sorted the content to illustrate this.
Social Reactions, on the other hand, will list different kind of reactions which your content has received in different networks, including likes, hearts, comments, retweets and more.
If you want to dig deeper into the numbers of one individual post, you can click on the people icon next to the title of the post to open a drop-down with information per Haiilo user. For example, if you are wondering which of your users received the most clicks on their share of a specific post, you will find the answer in the drop-down:
If you are having a trouble remembering what a post was about just from seeing the title in the analytics, you can navigate to the post on the Haiilo feed by clicking on the post title. Clicking on the title will open a new browser window where you can see the full post on Haiilo with its title, body, image, sharing messages, configured settings and more.
You will only see the post on the feed if you are subscribed to the channel it was originally published in and if it is still on the published feed. If you see an empty feed, it suggests the post is published in a channel you don't subscribe to or it has been archived.
The original publishing dates (the date on which a post is created on Haiilo) of posts will not decide which posts you will see in the Posts analytics. For example, if your chosen timeframe of analysis is between the 1st of February and the 28th of February, you will see all the transactions that any post generated and all the posts that were published during this time. Even if one piece of content was published 15th of January (outside the 1 Feb - 28 Feb range), if it has still been shared during February, the content will be shown in the results.
Users section
The Users section of the Posts & Users analytics works almost the same way as the Posts section. You have all the same options available (Shares & Clicks and Social Reactions tabs) and we present the same key metrics there. The main difference is that you can analyze the results from your users' point of view, rather than from a content perspective. You can see who have been the most active sharers during a certain time frame, who has been able to attract most clicks and/or reactions, and more. In the basic view you can see
- The name of the Haiilo user
- The date when they joined Haiilo
- Performance metrics per user (shares, clicks, reactions and reach)
On the Overview view in the Users section, clicking the name of a user will provide you more detailed information on his/her shared posts. You could, for example, find out what kind of content he/she likes to share and what kind of content works well in his/her personal networks.
In addition, you are able to see more detailed information for your users and their transactions on by changing the view to Shares & Clicks or Social Reactions.
The Shares & Clicks tab will illustrate how your users' shares and clicks are generated per the individual networks they have shared to. You can use this feature to see where your users are sharing to most and where they are getting the most clicks from their networks. In the screenshot below, we have sorted the content to illustrate this.
Social Reactions, on the other hand, will list different kind of reactions which your users have received in for their shares per social network, including likes, hearts, comments, retweets and more.
If you want to dig deeper into the numbers of one individual user, you can click on their name in the list to open a drop-down with information and the Haiilo posts they have engaged with. For example if you are wondering for which post a user received so many clicks, you will find the answer in the drop-down.
