You can share content from Haiilo Advocacy to Instagram and WeChat using the Haiilo Share mobile app. It's not possible to share content to these networks from the browser version of Haiilo Advocacy.
Share to Instagram
You can share Link, Article, Image, and Video posts to Instagram. Only the image or video from the Haiilo post is shared, which means that no text from the post's title or body will transfer over to Instagram. Additionally, you can only share one image on Instagram at a time. To share, you need to have the Instagram app installed on your mobile device.
- Go to the Postfeed tab
- Select Share under a post
- Select Instagram as the social network to which you wish to share.
- If the admins provide a sharing message for the post, copy it to your mobile device's clipboard before continuing to the Instagram app.
- When Instagram opens, select where you wish to share: Feed or Story. When sharing videos, allow time for the video to load on Instagram. This may take a few minutes; do not close the app during this process.
- Paste the previously copied sharing message into the post on Instagram.
- Note: This only works on Android. iOS users cannot paste a sharing message due to an Instagram restriction.
- Complete the sharing process by adding filters, captions, tagging people, and adding a location, as you would with any Instagram post.
- Publish your Instagram post or story
When sharing to Instagram, you also need to ensure the following:
For iOS users, you need to grant access to Photos for both the Haiilo Share and Instagram apps in your mobile device's settings.
For Android users, your Instagram and Haiilo Share apps need to be in the same profile (personal or work).
Share to WeChat
You can share Link and Article posts to WeChat. To share, you need to have the WeChat app installed on your mobile device.
- Go to the Postfeed tab
- Select Share under a post
- Select WeChat as the social network to which you wish to share.
- When the WeChat app opens, write a sharing message for your post on WeChat. You cannot predefine a sharing message for WeChat on Haiilo Advocacy.
- Complete the sharing process by tagging people or adding a location, as you would with any WeChat post.
