You can create an Image post on Haiilo by uploading one or multiple static images.
When an image post is shared on social media, the layout of the images depends on the number of images you share. Multiple images are often displayed in a grid. Each social network determines how the post is displayed on their network.
You cannot edit an image post's audience and image(s) after the post is published.
Step 1: Select audience
- Select Image in the Create a post box at the top of the feed
- Select an audience: External sharing or Internal reading. External sharing means the post can be shared on social media. If you choose External, you can select the social networks on which the post can be shared. Each network has certain limitations for images:
- LinkedIn: You can upload a maximum of 9 images on the platform. When a user shares, they can select up to 5 of them to share on LinkedIn at once.
- X: You can upload a maximum of 4 images on the platform. When a user shares, they can select up to 4 of them to share on X at once.
- Facebook: You can upload a maximum of 10 images on the platform. When a user shares, they can select up to 6 of them to share on Facebook at once.
- Instagram: You can upload a maximum of 10 images on the platform. When a user shares, they can select 1 of them to share on Instagram at once.
- Select Next
If you select all or a combination of networks, our system will have to enforce the strictest network requirements on the image post to ensure it is shareable to all selected networks. This means if you, for example, select LinkedIn and X as networks, you can only upload 4 images in your post as this is the limitation for X.
Step 2: Add image(s)
- Upload the image(s). After uploading, you can replace, add, or remove an image by selecting the pen icon. However, the images cannot be changed after publishing.
- Give your post a title
- Select Next
The supported image formats are jpg, jpeg, and png, as well as native iOS and Android images. There are no specific size or image ratio requirements when uploading images to Haiilo, but very large images or file sizes will be compressed, which might affect the image quality.
Step 3: Configure
- Select the channels where you want your post to appear. You must add at least one channel, but you can add multiple channels.
- Set the post's language. The language is automatically set based on the content of the post, but we recommend verifying that the language is correct.
- Add a campaign for your post. This option is only available for admins.
- Enable or disable comments for your post. This option is only available for admins.
- If you selected External as your post's audience in Step 1, you can also:
- Write recommended messages for each selected network. You can write multiple messages by selecting the + icon or, if activated for your platform, use AI to generate sharing messages.
- Define points per network that users receive for sharing the post. This option is only available for admins
- Optionally, enable additional options, such as read (view) confirmation, featured posts, or notify users immediately. These options are only available for admins.
- Select Next
Step 4: Confirm
- Optionally, write comments or an explanation for your post. These comments will be displayed above the post when it's published and will only be visible internally within the platform, not when shared on social media. We suggest using this field to inform your users why they should share the post on their social networks.
- If you want to delay the post's publication, select Schedule and define a date and time for it to be published. This option is only available for admins. Scheduled posts show on the Scheduled feed until they are published.
- Once you are happy with your post, select Done to submit the post. Unless you scheduled it, your post will be published immediately.
- If you are a user, your post will need to be approved by an admin before it is published.
